On 1st March 2024, we held our inaugural Health Action Training Showcase at the Royal College of Nursing in London, celebrating our specialist training with the Nursing Now Challenge Network.

Welcoming delegates from across the health sector and beyond, the HAT Showcase was a celebration of the work we have undertaken to date with The Nursing Now Challenge Network, The Burdett Trust for Nursing and The Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT), which has seen nurses from over 70 locations globally benefit from our unique model of training.

During our Showcase, we opened the doors to the HAT community and demonstrated how our revolutionary method of training is delivering a meaningful impact to the global Nursing Community.

Delegates also learned about the evidence-based outcomes of our work and about our goals to expand our network, aiming to deliver more access to this vital training for those nurses in the UK, Ireland and globally who need, and deserve support.

The event which was formally opened by Burdett Trust Trustee and former UK Chief Nursing Officer, Dame Christine Beasley, also featured presentations from HAT Co Founder Dr Karl Tizzard-Kleister, Professor Aisha Holloway, Professor of Nursing Studies and Global Nursing Initiative a the University of Edinburgh, Donna Kennan, Interim Executive Director of Nursing at The Western Trust in Northern Ireland and Steve Pitman, Head of Education and Professional Development at the Irish Nursing and Midwives Organisation. Video contributions were also shared from current and past HAT course participants from The UK, The Middle East and Africa.
